I would like to clarify the limitation of CAL quantity in Win 2003 SBS
because I am sharing a folder for non local lan users. They use a ¡°My
Network Places¡± through internet to access the sharing folder. When several
users upload files at same time, those sharing folder connection will be
lost and the upload task will be suspended. My 2003 SBS just have five CAL.

    Thanks a lot!

The license rules are very easy. You need a CAL for every user that connects
to the SBS box or you need a license for each device that connects to the
SBS box. So if you have one computer that is used by 20 users a device CAL
would be the way to go. If those users connect remotely they would need a
    user CAL.

Now, how do you "share" your folder for those "non local lan users"? How do
they authenticate to the SBS box?
