    Hi all,

I posted a couple days ago and got an answer, I just want to be sure my
migration steps are in the correct order.

Current network -- 1 win2k DC which also hosts exch2k. I,m going to move
exchange to its own server, then rebuild the old DC with W2K3 and drop it
    back as the primary DC.

Migration steps -- Add secondary win2K3 DC.
Transfer FSMO roles to secondary DC
    Remove Exchange from primary DC
    Remove primary DC
Rebuild primary DC with W2K3 SRV.
Add Exch2K3 on new sever - " new machine, not DC"
    Remove secondary DC.

    Any comments would be appreciated.

    I suggest this instead.

Install E2K3 on a new sever which is not a DC
Remove E3K from existing W2K DC
Promote server with E2K3 to W2K3 DC. It is now a W2K3/E2K3 DC.
Transfer FSMO and GC roles to new W2K3/E2K3 DC
    Check that replication has completed.
Demote original DC/E2K server (or upgrade it). Demote it if you want a
    fresh installation of W2K3.

You should at least 2 DCs for redundancy. For a single domain, both
    can/should be GCs.
