My computer had begun to feeze up and crash often after I installed the newer
Version of Media Player. I removed the program through Add/Remove Progams
and then downloaded Patch 2 and Media Player. When playing mp3's, I used to
be able to fill in as much information as I was available to me in Advanced
Tag Editor. I would then click Apply and Close. Then I would right click on
the name of that song in the Play List and Media Player gave me the option of
"Find Album Info." Since installing Patch 2 and the updated version of Media
Player, this option is no longer available. On Media Player's Tool Bar, I
can go to Tools > Search for Media Files but that option will search for the
    information
for all mp3's in an entire folder. Is there a setting that I can
chose so that the "Find Album Info" option is available again when
I right click on the name of the song in the Play List?

What version of WMP are you currently using according to WMP's Help:About
menu dialog? That Find functionality is not available in older versions of
the player, and it sounds like you are using an older version.

I have WMP ver 10. I downloaded it about 2 weeks ago. The older version had
the option to "Find Album Info" but this new version doesn't. I also do it
    as a hobby . . . I have over 15,000 songs in an 80G D Drive. I've used WMP
"Find Album Info" option extensively. Other info you may need is that I have
Windows XP ver 5.1 (SP2). My computer was built for me 2 years ago so it's
not a Dell, HP, etc. It uses FAT 32. I have the same hardware in my
computer and there have been no changes to the software exept that I
downloaded and installed SP2 and MP ver 10, and since then, the option is no
    longer available.

What music store do you have selected in the player? The stores help
    provided metadata to the player...

    Hi,

    Thanks for responding.

I downloaded the newest version, 10, and the only other information that I
can give you from the MediaPlayer setup file Properties is that it is file
    version 6.0.2900.2172.
