    Hi,

    I'm running SBS 2003 SP1 with ISA 2004.

I have been trying to create an Access rule on ISA to allow an application
to use TCP port 9393 but I just haven't been able to get it working.

The application is "TalkSwitch" which is a VoIP device which I can connect
to remotely using a software I have installed in my desktop. So, the
TalkSwitch is outside my network and I need to access it via Internet. I have
been able to access it from home but not from behind our ISA firewall.

Can someone help me "open" TCP port 9393 so I can use this software to
connect to the TalkSwitch device via internet?

    Thanks.

    Hi Rgarcia,

Thank you for posting in SBS newsgroup.

From the description, I understand that you want to use software to connect
to external TalkSwitch through ISA 2004. If I have misunderstood your
concerns, please do not hesitate to let me know.

As I know, you can configure ISA following the KB article:

837831 How to permit non-Microsoft programs to connect to the Internet
through Internet Security and Acceleration Server 2004
    http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;837831

If it does not work, you may need to contact the software or hardware
vendor to see what protocols and ports needed to be opened.

I also provide some documents regarding ISA for your future reference:

I appreciate your time and look forward to hearing from you.
