FRS / 4GB limit on Frs-Staging

We're currently using FRS to keep about 30GB of data up to date on three
    different servers.

One server ran into drive problems, it was taken offline, the drive
replaced, server rebuilt and we're up and running again.

However, I'm unclear as to the process to get the DFS/FRS replication
going again. I can only increase the Frs-Staging area to 4GB, which
means that if I try to turn on replication, I get eventlog reports about
    exceeding the Frs-Staging area limit.

I'm hoping it's as simple as adding the server to the Distributed File
System, turn on replication, then manually replicate the files.

Any clues? A couple hours on Google didn't shed any clues.
