    Hi!
I was woundering why the Domain Namgin Master machine should be a direct
replication partner with the Schema Master machine if they were not on the
    same machine?

    Hi Meinolf
    Thanks for reply.
The article you that you mention said nothing about the reason. It just
mention that if a domain has more than one domain controller, use Active
Directory Sites and Services Manager to select direct replication partners
with persistent, "well-connected" links. Is there a reson other than faster
    replication convergence consistency?

  4. Hello Mikca1,

Where did you find the statement about this? I can not find any doumentation
about it. Important is that all DC's in a domain have consequent replication
    to prevent any problems.

    Best regards

I've checked with other MVPs as I was interested in this, too. It seems
like there's not really a technical reason behind this other than the
fact that those two roles are not heavily used and should be
consolidated to one server. Take it as a recommendation.

    cheers,

    Florian

  9. Hello About,

This posting has nothing to do with the subject of the OP. Better create
    a new one.

If i got you correct you have one domain, mydomain.com for example, with
two sites located in US and India? Then it is no problem for the user to
connect in the other conutry to the domain with it's user account.

Or do you have a setup like mydomain.com and subdomain.mydomain.com? Please
    clarify this.

    Best regards
