I am having a bizarre problem that I can only relate to the ftp service.\n\nSituation:\n\nFrom one Windows 2003 Server (client), an automated process periodically (1\nminute) connects to a second (host) Windows 2003 Server using ftp and checks\nfor files to transfer. The host is using the IIS ftp server. The\ntransfers run between a firewall but all of this on the intranet.\n\nAfter a day or two of running, several problems occur with my .net\napplications running on the host ftp server. These problems include trouble\nwith ADO transactions, running a Process that does decryption.\n\nThese processes ran flawlessly for years until this ftp scanner was\nintroduced. If I shut off the scanner, the problems disappear and I can\nre-run, recover.\n\nI have monitored with procexp and perfmon, but so far have found nothing\nunusual.\n\n\nQuestion:\n\nWhat about using the ftp server could cause problems for the unmanaged code\nof my c# applications?
