    It' the windows firewall with remote assistance set on. Do you have to
    do anything with the firewall or router if it's vista to vista ?

    Here are the 2 tickets sent from the 2 machines. The ticket 'yours to
    me' is from my machine to his. This setup is the one that worked and
    allowed him to control my machine. NOTE the 'real' address after the
    local address (I changed the real numbers to the x,y,z in the real
    address to disguise it). The 'mine to you' is his RA ticket he sent to
    me that did not work. NOTE the absence of a real ip address appended to
    the his local address.
    Looks to me that he has something going on at his end since I don't get
    the real address from the ticket sent.

    The tickets displayed in your message are simular to mine. The Wan IP
    address is missing on the ticket created by the Vista Premium machine. The
    ticked created by the XP-Pro SP2 machine looks fine. RA was working fine
    going both was earlier this year but it is not working now.
