    Hi,

We are ready to implement 6 new machines onto our network. These are solely
used to access networked files through an application. The application uses
    word and excel.

We have implemented Group Policy to heavily restrict what users can do
(Remove My Computer, My Docs, My Network Places, Prevent seeing all drives).
However when Excel / Word opens one of the networked files we have found that
you can open / save to the C drive and access all areas of that.

Is there a setting within Group Policy that also prevents users from opening
/ saving files from / to the C: drive when in applications such as Word /
    Excel?

    Thanks

    Paul

    Hi Meinolf

They are clients connected to Windows Server 2003 and they are not terminal
    servers.

We have applied to GP whereby you hide drives, including the C drive.
However this still appears when opening or saving from within Excel.

    Thanks

    Paul
