about 2 years first with Mediacom last 9 months with Charter cable, Dual
    Hauppage Tuner.

Not sure exactly when guide stopped but need it for Saturday's Preakness for
Wife and discovered it will not download with "The Guide could not be
downloaded for following reason: Guide Server Error (Code 33)

    I have gone to http://blogs.msdn.com/astebner/archive/2005/11/01/487997.aspx
and renamed the EPG directory and reregistered the ehepgdat.dll with no
success. I have triple checked date/time issues but of course they are
synced with the server. The only changes I have made have been normal
Windows updates pushed by WSUS 3.0

We are going to my stepson's Wedding Saturday any ideas on how to get this
    fixed and save mine :>)

  2. Solved! Incase anyone else runs into this a recent MS Patch apparently
caused ISA 2004 to start blocking the Guide updates. I don't know which
patch but an All Users rule allowed ISA to let the Guide to start
    downloading again.

In general, any firewall-like app could cause this whenever there are
updates to the Media Center files, especially when it is blocking on an
application-level basis (the updates change the files, the firewall thinks
it is an 'unauthorized' file, end result, block!).

Moral of the story, if you run any firewall software, you have to be aware
how it works and its implications in common scenarios like this.
