I just bought a PC and activated the auto-update on
WinXP, and after the first update installed, my file
system is all destroyed. Instead of getting proper files
listed, their names are replaced by numbers and letters,
and when I open them, the next folder is called SP2, and
then the next is UPDATE, and then there is an executable
UPDATE file. When I first boot up, only 2 of these
appear, but slowly as it stays on longer, more folders
change to the random length number and only include the
SP2 and UPDATE folders. Sould I try uninstalling? I am
not sure what the auto update was, I wish I had been
    paying attention.
