    Same thing happened to me.

I tried the workaround, and now the msfeeds.dll error message doesn't show
up. Instead it just goes right to the end and says installation failed.

    yes, the error message changed.
before i do like you told me in the link, it appears the error i said in
    before post.
and after i do like you told me, there's no error appears, just the install
progress finished and appears: Internet Explorer installation did not
complete. please take a look at the logs in your system directory.
And a Finish botton lower bottom.

  11. Ok, when an installation fails you *must* reboot your system (most say once,
I say twice) before attempting anything further.

The logs you should look at are:

    c:\windows\ie7beta2_main.log
    c:\windows\ie7bet2p.log
    c:\windows\ie7bet2pUninst.log

  12. I know that OneCare will stop working after IE7 Preview is installed - the
fix being to reinstall OneCare... it might be worth removing that product,
rebooting a couple of times, then reattempting the reinstall.

  15. I'm not sure how the group would react to large posts generated by log
files - it doesn't bother me but I've got a very fast internet connection -
those with dial up may have issues.

You're welcome to move your query to aumha.net - that's what we do for
    things like HijackThis logs.

Okay, I am having this same "msfeeds.dll" problem. I checked my ie7beta2_main
log file in WINDOWS, and the only "error" I see is this:

    01:55.375: ERROR: |Inst. IE >>> Couldn't delete
    SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\InstalledByUser
01:55.391: ERROR: |Inst. IE >>> Internet Explorer installation
    completed with errors, exitresult=0x00000000, exitcode=0x00000005

Does anybody understand, with this information, what I need to do to fix and
    install IE7 preview?

    Thanks!
