I used the Windows 2000DDK to get the Windows 2000 NDISWDM driver to
work on Win98SE using the BINARY_COMPATIBLE flag and using the Walter
    Oney's WDMCHECK utility.

The driver loads successfully on Win98SE. But, in Network Control Panel,
when I try to bind a protocol (tcpip or NetBEUI) or a client (Client
for Microsoft Networks or Family Logon), the system asks for a restart.
Once I reboot and come back, I don't see any bindings or clients for my

I have tried running the inf check tool on my driver's inf file. I
didn't see any errors/warnings in the test output.

I don't see any error marks (like exclamation) on my adapter's name in
    the Device Manager.

Has anyone faced the same/similar problem? Am I doing anything wrong? Am
I missing something in my driver or inf file?

    Please help

    Thanks in advance

    Best Regards,

Yes this can be because of the INF.
INF checker is not perfect. Re-check your INF again, compare with other INFs.
This should just work - so there is a bug somewhere in your driver or INF...

    Good luck,
