    appartly i dont have a sound card in my computer and i dont know how i can go
    about getting this fixed....
    when trying to play something in media player i get this message:
    Windows Media Player cannot play the file because there is a problem with
    your sound device. There may not be a sound device installed on your
    computer, it may be in use by another program, or it may not be functioning

    0xC00D11BA: Cannot play the file

    I tried going to add new hardware to no luck, it could find driver...
    windows updates had no driver updates?????
    ANy suggestions????

    Windows 98
    custom built AMD

  2. If there is no sound-card, then there is no point installing a driver
    for something not there. Step 1: install a sound-card. Then get back to us.

    Try and take a look in your Bios setup. When starting your pc hit DEL till
    the Bios comes up on the screen.
