When I try to use Windows Update it prompts me to validate for windows
genuine software and comes back with the Validation Incomplete: Unable to
    Perform Validaton [0x80080299] message.
    Microsoft Genuine Advantage Diagnostic Results

    Passed Active scripting allowed
    Passed Display images enabled
Passed Computer time and date correct
    Passed ActiveX enabled
    Failed ActiveX controls loading
Failed ActiveX controls connect with Microsoft validation servers

anyone can give me some hints of ActiveX of the Validation~~~I can not
    install it !!

I had this happen to my home PC yesterday. I'm running Windows XP Media
Center Edition. To resolve the problem I un-installed the "Windows XP Rollup
    2......" update.
