License from Microsofts Vista license site(Maxium the site allowed was the
Home Premium. it refuses to allow an upgrade install from XP PRO SR 2 and I
fins d it rediculious to have to do a "custom install" and have to reinstall

  3. Why's it "ridiculous?" Could you upgrade Win2K *Professional* to
WinXP *Home*? Of course not! Transitioning from a
*business/professional* version of an OS to a *home* consumer version
has always been a downgrade, and I don't know of any operating system
    that supports downgrades. Do you?

  4. Well I should have looked closewr and did not, so it is my problem, but
Microsoft was kind enough to give me a refund. Hoerver the cost for an
additional Ultimate license which is available is $359.
OH WELL to much for the moment.

Thank You to Mr. Urban for his response.

only $359 that's not bad price

have you seen the prices in the uk, that figure of $359 is translated into
£359 and not at the actually exchange rate, that's why in the uk it's not
doing as well as ms thought it would

and who would pay that in the uk, especially as preimum is £200
