I have reformatted my PC. It was perfect really, just a bit sluggish and my
"filing system" wasn't all that - so I figured that I would give it a fresh
start. Right? Well for some reason, although it is performing better, in
the main, I now can't log in to When I log in it just returns
to the login page. No errors, nothing. I log in as I should, correct login,
correct password, but it just goes back to a login page. I am up to date on
MS updates. I am up to date on java. I am running IE 7 on XP Home SP2.

I have opened up IE to alllow EVERYTHING. Doesn't work. Disabled all AV.
    Still don't know.

Computer clock... are date, time and time zone correct?

After reinstalling XP, did you download and install all updates for XP and
    Internet Explorer?

Clear the Temporary Internet Files and History.

Try clearing all cookies or delete cookies from msn, hotmail, live,
    microsoft, passport.

In Internet Options> Privacy are cookies set to "low" or "accept all?"

Are you running a program that's blocking or filtering cookies?

    IE> Tools> Manage add-ons. Disable add-ons. If that helps, re-enable add-ons
one at a time until the problem returns.

If running a third-party firewall or security suite, turn on the Windows
Firewall from Control Panel> Windows Firewall and disable the third-party

Control Panel> User accounts> {your account}> Manage network passwords. If
there's an entry for passport, live, etc remove it.
