Hotmail, MSN Messenger site and MSN Messenger

    Can't connect to either - tried the advice listed by the helpful moderators earlier

    "We were unable to sign you in to .NET Messenger Service, possibly because of a problem with the service or with your Internet connection. Please make sure that you are connected to the Internet. 0x81000301

    I can't use the help to check the current service status either

    Use McAfee VirusScan Enterprise 7.1.0 - strange thing is I installed it on Feb 4 - but only been unable to connect since Feb 8. So I don't know how this is happening... =(

    If your platform is Windows XP, switch to Windows Messenger and try logging
    on, this worked for me. If not XP, try entering your password rather than
    allowing auto sign in.
