how can users change their passwords from commandline?

  1. Hello,

we have some users in an externat company, that do not really log into our
domain. They have only a limited access to our network, and so they can only
map networkdrives to special Fileservers with useraccounts in our domain.

Now we want them to change their passwords after they get them. how can we
    do this?

    net user

does only work for Admins, so it doesen't help us.

    Regards
    Stefan

  2. The command

    net user stefan MyPassword
    or
    net user stefan MyPassword /domain

works as long as the user tries to change his own password.

  3. Hmm,

when trying it, I get an error "access denied".
and where does the comman know the domain name from? the External Users I
have, are not loged in to our domain.

    Regards
    Stefan
