how do i resize images for desktop background

    i can't seem to figure out how to resize an image to use as a desktop
    background so that i dont get a screen full of several images of one picture
    rather than filling the screen with the single image itself. does this make
    sense? i assume it has to do with an image being smaller than 800x600 but i
    cant figure out how to change it so that it is that size. thanks.

    thanks. i should have known about the stretch, tile, center thing. also, i'll
    give infraview a try.
