IE 8 isn't showing in the control panel program list.
IE 8 seems to have messed up my gadget sidebar. After installing IE8 the
Gadgets in the side bar were seriously distorted (unreadable). Only 1/4 of
the clock is visible. The only way to get the Gadgets to display normally is
turn the DPI on the fonts back to 96% (I had the fonts set to 110%). 96%
DPI is too small of a DPI for these Old-EyesïŠ I cannot leave the DPI at 96%
because the fonts are too small, turning the DPI up to 110% ruins the
side-bar gadgets (which was one of my favorite things I liked about Vista).
Installing IE 8 ruined my gadgets. Is there any way that I can uninstall IE8?
    Thanks.

    1. In Control Panel, click Programs, and then click View Installed Updates.
    2. Click Windows Internet Explorer 8, and then click Remove. The computer
will revert to Internet Explorer 7 and previously installed Internet
    Explorer 7 security updates.

Thanks!! That worked. I'm now at 120dpi on the fonts , and the Gadgets are
    fine. Phew!

I have an issue with something similar so I thought I would try to get an
answer here. I can't uninstall IE8 Beta, as it will not show up in my
Updates section. Is there another way to uninstall? I believe this install
has also messed up some screens such as User Accounts as I believe that some
screen use the IE engine to display them.

I have the same issue as wdtunes.

IE8 Not in installed programs section or installed updates. How can you
    manually uninstall?

    Dell XPS with Vista-Ultimate.

    Thanks.

  10. If nothing in either of the links I posted in my last reply help to resolve
the problem, I'm afraid you're looking at a format & reinstall of Windows.

PS: Think your Registry needs "cleaning" or "repairing"? Read
