How do you play DVDs using Media Center Edition of Vista Beta 2?

Discussion in 'Windows Vista General Discussion' started by Deepak Shenoy, Jul 9, 2006.

  1. I cannot seem to find any functions to play DVDs on MCE Vista Beta 2. Is
there a link or website help that someone can show me how to play DVDs on MCE
Vista Beta 2? Or is this just the simple case of using WMP 11?

You could make MCE the default for DVD video. Click the Start button, type

    auto

open AutoPlay and set DVD Movie to play in Media Center.

You have to install a codec. I installed the the NERO OEM version of software
that came with my Sony and WMP plays just fine. However, the volume is too
weak even with all software volume controls turned all the way up
