How Do You Set Up DNS Situation in Win 2K8 Forest

    Hello,

    My company has a main office and a number of branch offices. Each office
    has its own AD domain in the same Win 2k8 forest. The computers in the
    network use both IPv4 and IPv6. What should I do so that the host names of
    the important servers remain unique throughout all domains in the forest?

    Unique domain throughout the forest really is inconsequential, since the
    fqdn will make them unique. There is a new feature in Win2008 that might be
    what you are looking for though, it is called GlobalNames Zone. It is for
    enterprises that don't have WINS loaded but want to keep names unique.
