    Good morning,

I want to deploy multiple PCs in an area where I only want them to have
access to one website only. how can I setup IE version 6 or 7 on Windows XP
Pro SP2, to allow the users access only to one website.
I know that vista comes with parental control that allows this, does XP has
    similar function?

    thank you.

Since you are allowing physical access to the host, security can be
circumvented. You can take some measures, like configuring the BIOS to
boot only from the hard drive (disable booting from any other device),
and using software that runs under an OS in an attempt to bar certain
types of traffic, but it can be circumvented.

Do the blocking upstream to a device or service to which the user has no
physical access. If you are using a router then make sure it is in a
lockable closet and configure it how you want regarding to where it can
connect. You could configure the router to connect to a special DNS
service that lets you specify what domains to block or which to allow,
like OpenDNS. You could configure TCP in the hosts to use that DNS
service rather than the one dynamically assigned by your ISP's DHCP
server to use their server but, again, it might be possible to change
that config with physical access to the host.
