How to burn WMA to CDA format?

I purchased songs from Wal-Mart and they play fine on WMP9. However, I would like to listen to them on something other than my PC! When ever I try to burn the files to a CD, I get an error the "the files you are trying to copy are protected" and no files are copied. Wal-Mart claims that the protection scheme allows each file to be copied up to 10 times. I have Nero 6 on my system and WMP9 defaults to the Nero fast/quick burn product. The error seems to come from that product. Is there any way to use the native XP capabilities for burning rather than Nero

Also, I see comments that protected files can ONLY be copied as WMA files. Is that true? If so then does that mean that I just wasted money on music that can only be played on my home PC?

  2. Hi, You have to use the default Roxio CD burning plug-in to burn DRM'ed
files. Just select Audio CD from the drop down.
