    Hi,

I am trying to create a Content Database on Sharepoint
    Server.

After that I am trying to attach a sample.mdf file to the
    Database.

I am new to this domain and hence am seeking help.

    Appreciate your support.

    Regards,
    Kriba.

  2. Could you per chance be more specific. Creating a content database is done in the Extend Virtual Server control panel. You would extend to a newly created website that exists in IIS. Once you select the website,
you can choose to create a new Content database. The database will be installed into the existing Sharepoint server and will create a new database instance with the required tables. Adding your MDF file in, if I
understand your intent, can be added to a document library after that easily enough.

    I hope this information helps.
