i need to create a second partition on my current drive where im running xp

i want to install vista but i also want to keep xp intact.
but i dont know where to start. i have no idea how to do it without
    reformatting the drive.

You can Google or MSN search it, there are several. I haven't tried any since
    I have PartitionMagic though.

There is, but I'd strongly recommend not trusting a hypercritical task
like shrinking my operating system's partition to freeware.

and look at folder read read me for serial key..copy it and run exe and u
