    How do I create an ERD for Windows Server 2003?

    Also, in the event the server is unable to boot up in to Windows properly
    and we need to use the ERD, the correct procedure is something like:

    1) use Windows Server 2003 CD to access Recovery Console
    2) from there use the ERD to copy required files to a specific directory to
    make the server bootable again
    3) reboot

    ....right?

    I'm new to this whole process but I need to figure it out... so how do we
    create an ERD for 2003 server and how do we use? Thanks!

  3. Hi,

    You cannot create an ERD in Windows Server 2003. ERD has been replaced by
    Automated System Recovery (ASR). To start the ASR wizard, follow these
    steps:

    Click Start->Run and type ntbackup
    Click Advanced Mode
    Click the button for Automated System Recovery Wizard

    To recover using ASR:

    Good Luck!
