How to determine missing codec in WMP10?

    Hi there,

I have an MPG video file captured from a camcorder. I can play the MPG file
on my laptop using Windows Media Player 10, but when I try to open it up on
another PC that also has WMP10, it won't open up. I get the infamous error
    C00D109B, unable to download codec.

How I determine which codec WMP is looking for? I downloaded a utility
called GSPOT, but apparently it doesn't support MPG files, just AVI. I
downloaded another one called Sherlock 2.0, and it gave me a listing of
codecs installed on each PC. There are a number of differences, but I can't
determine which missing codec is the culprit! Any suggestions?
