How to ensure that changing of settings within the Group Policy affects each new login directly ?

While I am testing many options to have Active Directory and Windows
Terminal Server working I am often changing settings within the Group Policy
of OU. However, sometimes it takes a short time to see the results after the
change of any setting and sometimes it takes a long time. The only way to
ensure that I test within the new settings is to restart the server, which
is of course very annoying and takes too long time. Is there a way or
function to call which ensures that the server applies the new settings to
the users and Active Directories ?

  2. Hi Oscar,

    "Start"-"cmd"-"gpupdate".

You may use gpupdate /? to view help of this commend.

This method only works in Windows Server 2003.
