  1. Ray,

FYI, the pngfilt.dll version in my Vista system is 7.0.6000.16386. Is it possible that you have an older version of this .dll after installing updates from WU?

I'm having the exact same problem. I succesfully used the registry fix(no
    error), but the problem remained...

I was not able to write to the keys
I right clicked on each one individually and choose permissions
I took ownership of the files (with all subs checked
I then gave myself full permissions. (Okay, I gave everyone ful
    permissions.

and right away I could see png files

Those of you who can write to the keys still may not have all th
    permissions set

    thanks for the help

Hi Ramesh, I'm expericing this same problem and i have some more background
on this issue, I'm using Vista Home Premium, with a Normal user acount.
The problem started after i switched to the admin acount, disabled UAC,
instaled Postgres 8.2.4 and reactivated UAC, from that point, i was unabled
to see png files in internet Explorer without running with admin rigths.

    Thanks,
    Fabricio Gonzalez.
