How to get a copy of Windows 95b

  1. Ah yes, I must've missed that post. I didn't see a source for that info
though, so my original reply still holds
    (http://groups-beta.google.com/group/microsoft.public.msdn.general/msg/913b7282005a6c64?hl=en&)

  2. Your original reply doesn't hold. As for a source to prove whether or not
it holds, apparently you never installed the original version of Windows 95,
but I reinstalled it over and over and over (remember, that was Windows 95).
If you didn't subscribe to MSDN at a time when Windows 95 was included, and
if you don't believe my report of my experience, then you should communicate
with others who did. Or communicate with others who bought the original
version of Windows 95 retail or whatever. If you want a source for this
    information you will find it.

  3. Hi,

I've used the original Windows 95, and several different versions. All I
said (with a source of the person that removed it from MSDN) was that it was
removed because of the settlement - after the settlement they may have
decided to pull Windows 95 completely, still making the settlement the
cause, even if it wasn't a condition of it

So Windows 3.1, 3.11 and MS-DOS6 are even further out
of their support lifetime but they're available for download. It's
a bit odd that 95 is excluded. I think I better make an ISO of
my 95 CD before it disintegrates now I see I can no longer
    download one from MSDN.
