    Hello,
We have a "domain.com" and a "child.domain.com" create separatly (windows
server 2003) with no relation. These two domains have their own dns server.
I would like to join this child domain to his parent domain now : how to do
    it ??

    Thanks for helping me...

  2. I'm sorry but i've got bad news for you... you just can't. Domain structures
need to be bult together, but there's one thing you can do: migrate.

To migrate a domain you must first build the child domain connected to the
parent, installing a new server (or temp machine) and configuring it to be
the first DC in the child domain. Then, using migration tools, you migrate
oll the object you have in Active Directory to the new child domain and then
you join all machine to the domain. The migration tools are capable to
migrate SIDs so you won't need to re-configure ACLs.

To start a new child domain use this article:
    http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;255248

If you want more help you should post some topology information about you
network and other detalis as well.

    Hope i helped you.
