    Hi all,

I'm using UltraSound and its database is running on a SQL server. I'd like
to limit the database size to just a few gigabytes. At the moment the db is
set to have a max file size of 1GB. Once this limit is reached, UltraSound
    stops working.

Could anyone tell me how I can delete records that are more than a week old
so the database size remains small? I don't need to keep past data. Can this
be done from within UltraSound? My SQL knowledge is very limited!!

    Thanks,

    Curtis.

  2. Yep, you can set these options in ultrasound itself:

    1. On the Tools menu, click Options.
    2. Database Purge

Frequency. Specifies how often (in days) the controller purges data from the
    database.
Time to Run. Specifies the time (in local console time zone) at which the
controller purges data from the database.
Retain. Specifies the number of days to retain data in the database.

You'll probably also want to shrink the transaction logs within SQL itself,
as they can get very large. This (exhaustive) KB goes into detail on that -
