How to migrate a NT legacy driver to WIN2000?

    I have recently developed a driver for a serial device in NT4,it works well
    ..
    Now ,I want to migrate it to WIN2000,however,it does not work!
    How to migrate a NT legacy driver to WIN2000?HELP ME!!!!

    Please be more specific on what you mean by "it does not work!".
    NT Legacy drivers are fully supported on Win2K.

    Thank for your reply.
    this driver is for a smartcard reader,the card reader is serial,not a PNP
    device.so i am confused how the system can detect it.
    I have developed a driver for it in NT 4,
    however,In WIN 2000 after installing ,system can not find the smartcard
    reader.
    I am now not quite familiar with the installation of driver.would you please
    tell me the specific guide?

  4. Usually NT legacy drivers are installed as services
    through SCM API's and you also need to make a
    few entries in the registry.

    If you have developed it for NT, you must be knowing how to install it !
