I have a user who is unable to see his four network shared drives (the error
he recieves is access denied - although his user account and machine account
now have Full control permissions on all of these shares, there are no deny
permissions). When the user logs on at another machine he can see the shares,
when another user logs on at his pc they are able to view the shares.

I have given the user a fresh built new machine. He was able to see his
drives for a day but then they became blocked in the same way. I have removed
and readded the user to all of the groups he is in.

This really has me tearing my hair out. I assume the next step is to
recreate his user account but I want to find some instructions on how to do
this without having to change his email address or lose any of his mails.

I don't think it's his user, I'm gonna put my money on his profile.

Are your users using roaming profiles? It could be a corrupt one causing
you problems. If he's using local profiles, there's really nothing to
explain the fact that it happend on two machines except for coincidence.
Maybe the user is doing something...

Log on as an local admin on his workstation and move his current profile to
a new location, that will force him to get a new profile the next time he
logs in. If that works, then you've narrowed it down more.
