How to remove DFS configuration manually on member server?

    Hi there,

I renamed a DFS server before deleting those DFS settings, they were domain
roots. Currently, I cannot add those folder back. I followed the
    instructions of this URL,
    http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;q224384

Currently, I think I have removed DFS information from our domain because I
could set up the same domain root on other servers except for the original
one. All of our DFS servers are member servers not on DCs. It seems that the
URL addressed DFS on DCs. I could not find the key of
    HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\DfsDriver\LocalVolumes on the dfs.

When I tried to add the same root name, I would be told "file name
    exists..."

    Any idea? Thanks in advance.

    I found a solution,

    net stop dfs
    dfsutil /clean /Server:<Servername> /Share:<Sharename>
    net start dfs

To install the dfsutil.exe from the Support\Tools folder on the Windows 2003
    CDROM.

    Anyway, thanks.
