    Hi,
    This is on windows 2003 server. I have several programs installed. One of
    the hard drives on which several programs where installed went bad. I
    replaced it with a new HD.Several of the programs that were on the replaced
    HD could not be either removed or re-installed. I used the Windows Install
    Clean Up utility, to clean them up, then Remove from Add/ Remove Program
    (from the Control Panel). But these programs (and their groups) still show
    up in the Start --> Programs list.
    How to remove them from this list?
    Thanks

    Delete the shortcuts for them from;

    %ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Start Menu\Programs
    %USERPROFILE%\Start Menu\Programs
