I just installed virtualPC. The host is WindowsXP Pro, the guest is Windows
Server 2003. I have an instance of SQL Server running on the guest system.
Can someone tell me how to establish a data connection from the host machine
to sql server on the guest machine?

    Thanks,

    Keith

same way you would if we were having this conversation about two physical
computers rather than virtual PC. setup a network between the two machines
so that they can communicate with each other, and you can then make ODBC
connections over that network as you need.

I'm always surprised at "professionals" who STILL have to be asked "Have you
    checked (event viewer / syslog)".
