How to: Use 61883.sys functions in user mode dll

Discussion in 'Windows Vista Drivers' started by Sivakumar Jayapal, Mar 1, 2005.

  1. Hi,
I have 2 windows XP machines with SP2 and 2 IEEE 1394a cards installed and
connected using 6 pin to 6 pin cable.
    1. How to: Send FCP data over 1394 using 61883.sys from a user mode
    application?
    Should i write a 61883api.dll similar to 1394api.dll? or can i include
61883.h and write my own dll
    2. How to: Send bulk data transfer using SBP2 protocol over the IEEE 1394
from a user mode application (C++ GUI application) to another PC connected
    via IEEE 1394
    Any inputs would really help.

    Regards,
    Siva

I haven't done this, but did you look "IEC-61883 Client Drivers" topic
in DDK document that explains this topic.
