    Hi,

Due to acquisition, we are currently collapsing our domain and creating a
new child domain with the parent company.

Is there a tool which would help us migrate our current dfs to the new
domain. Does anyone know if the FSMT can migrate dfs between two different
    domains?

    Thank you for your help

    Dan,

    Thanks for your prompt reply.
Do you know if dfsutil can move dfs between two separate Domains (separate
    forests, linked by Trust Relationship)?

    Thanks

  4. Doing an export/import is no more (or less) than copying the root to the new
location. The export will produce a text (XML) description of the links in
the old root. Import will then feed that into the new (empty) root.

It doesn't matter what relationship the source or destination have with each
    other in normal operation.
