Is it possible to configure PerfMon with specific Counter Log settings and
save it as a template. The distribute that template to other server admins,
which then collect data from other servers?

  2. You mean like creating a custom MSC and (in author mode) adding system
    monitor control snapins? Sure:
    start>run>"mmc"
    file>add/remove snapin...
    add>activex control>system monitor control

    That what you're looking for?

    Thanks for the answer :)
But that will hardcode the computername to gather performance data from.
    - When you create a custom mmc with ActiveX controls, it will always use
the node-name you specify in the MMC. Even if you use variables names
    like %computername% etc.

What I need, is to collect data from the same objects and counters from
    many different computers.
Since I have no access to the client nodes, I want to configure the
counter logs in a template and distribute it to the different server
admins. Then they send the log-files return to me and I view the result
    with perfmon.
