I can no longer send e-mails but i can recieve???

    This is the error message i get.

    Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for
    this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of
    inactivity. Subject 'running', Account: 'mail.btinternet.com', Server:
    'mail.btinternet.com', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '451 See
    http://pobox.com/~djb/docs/smtplf.html.', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server
    Error: 451, Error Number: 0x800CCC0F

    James,

    You may want to take a look at this tutorial:

    It has many suggestions for getting windows mail to work.

  3. Email scanning should be turned off in any anti-virus. Also exclude EML
    files from the scan. It provides no protection not provided by the regular
    resident protection.
    Besides that, McAfee and Norton are not compatible with Windows Mail and
    Outlook Express and should be uninstalled. The latest version of Trend's
    anti-virus seems to be causing problems too.
