i didnt try the steps u listed i uninstalled the .NET Framework and .NET
Framework service pack 1 that windows provides thru windows update... and msn
works again! it kinda makes me fink that i didnt fix it myself tho if a few
other people have fixed there problem at the exact same time that i fixed
mine. maybe its a coincidence that i played round wit the settings n that msn
fixed the problem themselves... who nos!?!?

  5. Greetings,

For the record, removing the .NET Framework won't affect Messenger and I'd recommend not
uninstalling it as all sorts of applications now and in the future make use of the framework
(but Messenger isn't one of them!).

Great it works, I take it that you dont work for them, because the people
that work for them dont have a clue.

    good job

Actually re-registering the DLLs only worked for me for couple hours. Then
same error occurs again. Now sometimes I can login, but I'll get disconnected
randomly even in the middle of coversation.

  10. Hi,

In that particular case, re-registering the DLLs probably did nothing, it was just
    coincidental.
