I need major Help!

    When we start a progam we get a message box example:
    Internet Explorer
    Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are
    sorry for the inconvenience.

    I contacted Gateway they had me defrag the computer however, that did not
    help as the said it would. I have restored the computer to a date before
    this started happening and that is not helping. I am not sure what to do

    Have you tried deleting temporary internet files? Possibly cookies as well?


    IE -> Tools -> Internet Options -> General tab -> delete files


    My Computer -> Right click C: -> Properties -> Disk Cleanup.

    Take a look for spyware. Run multiple spyware tools if necessary to get it

    I am having the same problem. Have you found a solution? This has affected
    other software as well, Windows Media Player, MS Money and others. They all
    contain the error with ModName: wininet.dll.

    I was able to down load the proper stuff from Microsoft but I dont remember
    which one did the trick.
