Hi, im trying to use the Windows Email for my Yahoo account
    Ive been told to use
    ingoing server as pop.yahoo.mail.com
    outgoing server as smtp.yahoo.mail.com

I can receive my emails just fine, but i cant send any, what do i need to do?

This is the error message i get:

The message could not be sent. The authentication setting might not be
correct for your outgoing e-mail [SMTP] server. For help solving this
problem, go to Help, search for "Troubleshoot Windows Mail", and read the
"I'm having problems sending e-mail" section. If you need help determining
the proper server settings, please contact your e-mail service provider.

The rejected e-mail address was @yahoo.com'. Subject 'Hi', Account: 'Yahoo',
Server: 'smtp.mail.yahoo.com', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '530
authentication required - for help go to
    http://help.yahoo.com/help/us/mail/pop/pop-11.html', Port: 465, Secure(SSL):
Yes, Server Error: 530, Error Number: 0x800CCC78

  2. Make sure you have send authentication enabled.
Go to Tools, Accounts, select that account, Properties, Servers.
The box for "My server requires authentication must be checked.

  3. I have had a similar problem and did not receive any error messages.
Emails would just sit in the outbox but I was able to receive incoming
mail ok. I found that there was a problem with one of the emails in the
outbox. I deleted it and all the rest were able to be sent ok. Hope this
    helps.
