IE 7 Walks Accross Screen?

I installed a new wide screen monitor and IE 7 about the same time. With
the wide monitor I do not run IE in full screen. However, IE 7 keeps moving
over to the right a half inch or so each time I open a window in a window.
I spend a lot of time on the Schwab web site where it is very apparent what
it is doing. After the "sub" screen is displayed, indented a half an inch,
it seems IE remembers that location the next time it is loaded. This
continues indefinitely since it eventually wraps around the screen and keeps
moving to the right. Seemed like a good idea the first time it did it since
it allowed me to see the left edge of the main screen HOWEVER, it gets very
annoying not knowing where it will start up the next time it is loaded.
Maybe I'm getting old, but I like to know where an application screen is
going to appear on my desktop. Am I the only person with this complaint or
is there some setting I can change to cause IE 7 to stay put where I want
it?! I don't think IE 6 acted this way. Help would be appreciated.
