Can anybody help me with the above problem.

When I first log on to IE there is no problem but if I then close down IE
and try and open up again it looks like it is trying to open and closes
    imeediately.

I then have to re-boot the machine and can then log into IE again.

    Anybody know the problem.

    Hi,
I would troubleshoot this by disabling BHOs, toolbars, other add-ons and
third-party programs which interact with Internet Explorer. From IE> Tools>
Manage add-ons, disable one or two add-ons at a time to see if the
    troublesome add-on becomes obvious.

Or, this might be a malware problem.

I have a similar problem where IE7.0 does not allow for a "google" search.
It's fine if you click the "I'm feeling lucky" button but when you choose the
    "search" button, IE closes down.

Is anyone else experiencing such a problem?

  4. That's almost certainly malware. See Don's post.
