IE Visited Links - Lifespan

This may be an incredibly basic question, but apparently I don't know how to ask it well enough yet. I would like to know whether there is a time period where a webpage you have been to will show up as the purple visited link, and afterwards will be set back to a regular link color. Specifically, I am going through a site with educational videos, and I was hoping the 'visited link' color would just not expire, so that weeks or months from now I can still tell which of the videos I have or haven't seen. Thank you for anyinformation here.

Visited links should be remembered until History for that day is cleared. In
    other words... Internet Options> General tab> Browsing History> Settings>
Days to keep pages in History is the determining factor.

Trying to keep too much History (100, 200, 300 days) will increase the
likelihood of corruption and loss of History. It's often recommended that
"Days to keep..." be less than 40 or 50 days.

As a backup, you might want to create a TXT document where you record which
    videos you've watched.
