    Other than claimedspeed increases, what other advantages are there to IE11
    onWin 7 Home Premium on PC/Laptop, both without touch screens? Is it an easy
    task to get rid if Bing (and any other non-required goodies) that come 'bundled'
    with IE11?

    I haven't seen any advantages in the few hours I've had it installed.

    Bing doesn't come "bundled" with IE, per se. It *is* the default search
    provider, though, but that's easy enough to get rid of in the Manage Add-ons
    example, Google), move it up in the chain, set it as Default, then delete
    Bing. Presto, gone-o :)

    If you're getting Bing Desktop offered in WUA, you can uncheck it,
    right-click on it, and select "Hide this update." You won't be notified
    again until a new version is released, and then you can do the same thing to
